Ingonish: Our Community….Our Ingonish

Welcome to our community portal where you can gain access to a multitude of services and a wealth of information. Our Ingonish is a community partnership, created by local volunteers and the Victoria County CAP Sites Association. Ingonish is an area comprised of five villages; Ingonish Ferry, Ingonish Harbour, Ingonish Beach, Ingonish Centre and Ingonish, stretching for approximately 20 km from Smokey to Broad Cove. These villages are nestled in the Northeast Highlands of Cape Breton where the mountains meet the sea. This area, we call home, is noted for its spectacular beauty; truly “Nature’s Home”.

This site is a place for locals and visitors to come and view current events, news & announcements; use our Directory to find accommodations and businesses in our area; learn a little about the local history; or to use as a portal to access local and regional web links. You can follow our schools’ sports teams throughout the school year. You may want to look at some magnificent pictures by viewing the photo gallery; or view the community calendar for the latest event listings to find what’s going on in our community…Our Ingonish.

If you have an announcement to submit, please use the Contact link at the top of the page or leave a comment on the Community Calendar page. Please use the Contact link to report a cancellation. Cancellations will show up in the Community Calendar. In the case of an alert or important community message, the alert box will be turned on and you will be able to view the message on the top of this Home page.

Return often to keep current with our community.
